Like every website, this one runs on a hosting provider’s servers. To deliver the pages and keep them secure, those servers handle what every browser sends: your IP address, your browser and the time of the request. The provider does this only on the site’s behalf. It is based in the United States and certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which covers that transfer.

The hosting provider also counts visits, without cookies. It records the page, the site you came from, your country or region, and the kind of device, operating system and browser. Visits are told apart by a hash of the request that is thrown away after 24 hours, so a visit cannot be traced back to you.

The reason is a legitimate interest (GDPR, Article 6(1)(f)): knowing whether anyone reads the site and where they come from.

The typefaces are served by this site itself, so your browser sends no request to Google. The link to LinkedIn takes you to LinkedIn, where its own privacy policy applies.

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete data about you, or object to its use. As this site keeps nothing that identifies you, there is normally nothing to hand over or delete, but you are welcome to ask on LinkedIn. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
